Why are your clothes plain?

We offer bright gender neutral clothes for babies and young children. All our range comes in bright colours that are suitable for all. We don’t include slogans, embellishments or any other detail so as not to assume your child’s interests or tastes. Plain coloured, good quality basics are an essential item for children's wardrobes as they can be used in so many ways.

As unisex items, they are also more practical for passing on to siblings and friends  to get more wear out of them. We support choosing to buy well-made clothing that's made to last and can be resold or passed on, rather than cheaply made fast fashion which is more damaging to the environment.

What range do you have for babies?

For babies, we offer long and short sleeve baby vests (sometimes called body suits) from 0-3 months up to 18-24 month sizes (for short sleeve) and up to 2-3 years for long sleeve. We have leggings, dungarees and shorts available from 6-12 month sizes. Our baby hats come in sizes 0-3 months and 6-12 months. Our long and short sleeve t-shirts, legging and hoodies start at 1-2 years.

What clothes do you stock for children?

For toddlers and children, we offer long and short sleeve baby vests (also called body suits) for toddlers, with short sleeve vests up to 24 months and long sleeve vest going up to 2-3 years. We also offer t-shirts in both long and short sleeves, leggings, dungarees, hoodies and shorts. Dungarees and shorts currently go up to 4-5 years of age, while t-shirts, leggings and hoodies are available for children up to 6-7 years of age.

What age range do you cover?

  • Short sleeve baby vests are available up to 18-24 months.
  • Long sleeve baby vests are available up to 2-3 years.
  • Shorts go from 6-12 months up to 4-5 years.
  • Long and short sleeve t-shirts are available from 1-2 years to 6-7 years.
  • Hoodies are available from 1-2 years up to 6-7 years.

What’s the sizing like?

Sizing is one of the hardest aspects because children can vary greatly within the normal range. We suggest you refer to our sizing guide for more information.

Are your clothes suitable for cloth nappies?

Our baby vests are longer than average and sized to accommodate generous nappies, although it depends on whether the child is smaller or larger than average for their age. For children who are on the larger size of average, we would probably recommend you size up for cloth nappies are they are bulkier.

Our leggings and shorts in sizes up to 2-3 years have extra space to accommodate nappies, whether they're disposables or big fluffy cloth bums!

Is the cotton organic?

Yes! We only use 100% certified organic cotton, so it’s better for the environment and better for your children. We’re not yet GOTS certified as that covers not just the fabric but the whole manufacturing process. As we manufacture in the UK, we are not yet aware of any GOTS certified UK manufacturers but we expect this to change in future.

Where does the cotton come from?

Our current range of fabric is knitted and dyed in the UK. Previously, some fabric was imported from Turkey but dyed in the UK, so we have a few products still in stock made from non-UK (but still organic) cotton.

Where are your products made?

Our products are 100% made in the UK (not just designed here!). Our whole range is manufactured by a small, family-run company in the UK’s textile heartlands – Leicestershire. We also source fastenings from UK companies too.

Are your products made ethically and sustainably?

Yes, that’s certainly our intention and one of the reasons we manufacture in the UK. The UK has stronger regulation around treatment of staff (paid holidays, entitlement to breaks, working hours directive, minimum pay) and also stronger regulation around waste and pollution. In addition, evidence suggests UK-manufactured products have a lower carbon footprint, both because of the reduced transportation and the stricter rules around energy production here than in other countries.

Where do you ship to?

We currently deliver within the UK and to Europe. Read our full delivery and returns page for more details.

How are your items packaged?

To reduce plastic, we wrap our clothing in tissue paper and items are sent in sturdy brown paper bags or boxes. Please re-use these, where possible, or recycle them. Plenty of our customers use the tissue paper for crafting or re-use it for wrapping to give it a second life!

Are you a UK registered company?

Yes, we are a fully registered company in England and Wales, company number 10648913.
